Integrating Web Technologies with Bioscience

Naba Bora, PhD, M.B.A

As a scientist and technology manager, Naba Bora founded RayyMedia which focuses on integrating web technologies with bioscience. Naba has been freelancing in graphic design for over 20 years and became involved in web development in graduate school.  

Earning his PhD in Cell Biology and Anatomy from the Medical College of Georgia and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Naba spent several years in the research setting. While also earning a MBA from Hopkins, he began a nine career in biomedical research administration and IT management for the Federal Government.

Naba serves as Science and Technology Director to help create solutions that incorporate design and functionality to aid the biomedical research community.

Andrew Durrschmidt, M.S, M.B.A

Andrew Durrschmidt has enjoyed working as a freelance administrator building applications in commonly used platforms such as Microsoft Access and Visual Basic. Serving as Manager for Research and Development at RayyMedia, he melds his long held passion for software applications and technology with his education and experience in research. 

Andrew earned his Master’s degree in Biotechnology Management as well as his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and has 10 years of experience in the laboratory setting as well as research administration and contract management working for organizations such as Perdue Farms, Inc., Lonza Bioscience and the Federal Government. 

Frederick Haggerty

Frederick Haggerty has more than a decade of experience as a software developer responsible for gathering requirements, designing and developing various applications for government and private clients. As a former US Marine, he gained skills that now allow him to be a leader providing guidance and oversight of small to large project teams.

 Frederick has utilized a variety of technologies including UNIX, SUN SOLARIS, SUN OS, IRIX, Linux (Fedora, Red Hat, Mandrake), Windows (NT, 2000, XP), Java, C, C++, X Windows, MOTIF, SQL, PL/SQL, AVENUE (ArcView), JavaScript, PHP 3.0/4.0/5, Cold Fusion, HTML, Unix  C and many others.

Hin Lee, PhD

As a Science Consultant for RayyMedia, Hin provides expertise to the development of internal products as well as client projects based on years of bench work and research management.  His scientific background encompasses the areas of genetics, molecular biology and clinical applications.

Hin obtained his PhD from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Penn State University before conducting research as a fellow at the NIDDK/NIH. Subsequently, he served as a CBER/FDA product reviewer for several years and as a research administrator for the DOD.
